Saturday 3rd - 7pm Magic Show at RYLA

Monday 5th - 6pm meeting with Milton Rotary Club at Milton T&C (instead of our usual Thursday meeting in Balclutha) buffet meal is $28.
Please let Joan know by Thursday if you are attending.
 
 
Thursday 15th - Possible service meeting to cut firewood.
 
 
Saturday 24th - Big River Raft Race & Festival
The club will be running the chocolate wheel at the market at the finish line near Balclutha bridge and assisting Project Clutha with clean up after the festival.

Book Sale
Sunday 8th April we will be setting up the Town Hall for the sale from Monday 9th - Saturday 14th and cleaning up that evening.
Books can be dropped at Johnstone Electrical or at the old Clutha Leader building if you can access the right spot under the verandah.
 
Firewood
Andrew is moving more firewood and Thursday 15th Feb will possibly be a service meeting to cut it.
 
 
RYLA
There are 28 participants, 1 from our club. The RYLA committee needs support from the club to ensure it is memorable for those 28 people.
Rotarians required for ushering participants, assisting with the programme each day and to sleep over at the camp each night. Please let us know which days and evenings suit you.
You are welcome to stay for meals but we will need to know in advance as extra meals will need to be notified to the caterers and there is a small charge for meals if you are not on the roster for helping, as our budget per day allows for the participants, and rostered helpers.
 
The schedule for the camp has been emailed out but key events are:

Friday 2nd - Ruth Radcliffe & Jean Proctor introducing the camp and Hayden Campbell giving photography tips so teams of 4 participants put together a series of photographs of the weekend and the community to present at the Milton club meeting on Monday for Hayden to judge.

Saturday 3rd - 7pm free magic show, everyone welcome.

Sunday 4th - 10am morning tea at Cross Recreation Centre. Help required serving and cleaning up. Contact Joan to contribute to food.

Monday 5th - unfortunately McLay Boats factory is closed but there is still a visit to Calder Stewart 3:15-4:30pm which for safety reasons is really important to let the RYLA committee if you are attending. Then the group is taken to Tokomairiro High School library for 45mins about Project Bruce a community-led development project building resilient communities in Milton, Waihola and Taieri Mouth.

6pm Rotary meeting with the Milton Rotary Club, who will be hosting the RYLA participants and our club at the Milton T&C. Buffet dinner costs $28 please let Joan know by Thursday if you are coming to this. The Monday meeting is in place of our regular Thursday meeting so NO meeting in Balclutha on Thursday 8th February.
