Quantum World Science Evening
QUANTUM WORLD & the mysteries of nature
From the microworld of atoms & particles to the biggest stars in the universe.

Eyal Schwartz is a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies at the University of Otago Department of Physics. He has extensive achievements in the science field, including a PhD in astronomy and astrophysics.

Currently, Dr Schwartz’s focus is quantum mechanics and he has been doing research manipulating single atoms in order to understand fundamental phenomena in the fabrication of the universe.

At his presentation last year, Dr Schwartz explained how we discover exoplanets and from them how we can learn about our own solar system origin and destiny. He discussed the possibility of finding an Earth-twin and alien life forms.

This year, Dr Schwartz returns to Balclutha to share exciting advances in his research and more about quantum physics.

Come along to learn more about science and space and join in on this interactive presentation!
